Alertify ("the app") is designed with your privacy as a core principle. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use Alertify.
Alertify does not operate any servers. All incident data - photos, locations, and timestamps - is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage. We never receive, see, or store this data ourselves.
Alertify uses your device's front and back cameras solely to capture two photos at the moment a wrong unlock code is detected. The cameras are never used for continuous recording or monitoring.
Alertify uses your device's location solely to record where an incident occurred, at the moment it happens. Location is never tracked continuously.
Alertify sends incident alerts using your own connected Google account via the official Gmail API, with the gmail.send permission scope only. This means Alertify can send emails on your behalf but cannot read, view, or access any of your existing emails. We never see the content of the emails sent, and no email data passes through any server operated by us.
Alertify requests the Device Administrator role solely to detect when an incorrect unlock code is entered, even while the app is not open. This role cannot lock your device, erase data, or perform any action beyond this detection.
If you enable the optional Motion Guard feature, Alertify uses your device's motion sensor (accelerometer) to detect movement while the feature is active. This data is processed only on your device, in real time, and is never stored or transmitted anywhere. If movement is detected, Alertify may sound a loud alarm to deter theft. The alarm stops automatically when you unlock your device normally.
Incidents older than 90 days, or beyond the most recent 100 incidents, are automatically deleted from your device, including their associated photos.
Alertify does not display advertising, does not include analytics or tracking libraries, and does not share any data with third parties.
You can change your alert email address, disconnect your Google account, or uninstall the app at any time, which removes all locally stored data.
